The management would like to say that we do not wish to add to any individual’s grief or suffering. We understand the pain of losing a loved one through violence and intend this game to exorcise our fears and by this maybe start the healing process.
The people of Northern Ireland have lived under the cloud of terrorism and civil unrest for too long. We created this game to raise awareness off the suffering that our community has endured for decades. We cannot understand why intelligent men choose terror when they could sit together and get on with the running of a country and the real things that matter like health, education and our people’s right to a certain quality of life. Although this game is intended as fun and to poke a finger in ridicule this in no way reduces the severity of the pain and suffering that we have come through in 40 years, we created this game to make people laugh as laughter is the best medicine. Northern Ireland has had a wedge forced between our communities by outside influences turning ancient rivalry into hatred and violence. We believe that it benefits certain powerful men to keep our country destabilised for their own twisted reasons. We believe that there should be no further segregation in our society and if we stand together no one will ever beat us. So Catholic, Protestant, Muslim and Jew all sons of Ulster please play the game and have some fun, in the knowledge that although this is only a game the troubles were very real.
A great Irish comedian (Dave Allen) always ended his show with these words. "Goodnight, thank you, and may your God go with you"
I think that we should listen.
